Biscuits Gravy Bake (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 360 millilitres country gravy, warmed
02 - 165 grams cheddar cheese, shredded
03 - 1 teaspoon dried oregano
04 - 120 millilitres whole milk
05 - 5 large eggs
06 - 450 grams breakfast sausage
07 - 10 ounces biscuit dough from the fridge, cut up
08 - 1/2 onion, diced up
09 - 2 tablespoons butter, unsalted

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Slice it and dig in while it's still hot. Give it a couple minutes to settle, so cutting's easier.
02 - Pop your dish in the oven. Wait about 30 to 40 minutes. When the top's nice and brown and the middle looks set, it's ready.
03 - Sprinkle all your shredded cheese on top. Now pour the warm gravy all over everything so it's nice and even.
04 - In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and oregano until smooth. Pour this right over your sausage and onion layer.
05 - Spread the sausage and onion mix across the biscuit bits, making sure every bite gets some.
06 - Drop the chopped biscuit dough in your baking dish, spreading it out to cover the bottom.
07 - Heat the butter in a big pan over medium. Cook onions and sausage, give it a stir now and then. Once the sausage browns and onion softens, drain off extra fat.
08 - Set your oven to 175°C. Rub a bit of butter or hit your baking dish (23×33 centimetres) with nonstick spray.

# Additional Tips:

01 - Put it all together the night before to save time. Pop it in the oven when you wake up.
02 - Try tossing in some crispy bacon, sautéed veggies, or swap cheddar for another cheese you like.
03 - Leftovers keep in the fridge for three days or stash in the freezer for two months. Make sure to heat it all the way through before digging in.
