Taco Cheese Breadsticks (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Filling

01 - 1 ounce taco seasoning mix
02 - 1 pound ground beef, 85% lean

→ Dough and Assembly

03 - 8 cheese sticks (Cheddar or Colby Jack), cut in half
04 - 1 can (13.8 oz) store-bought pizza dough, chilled

→ Topping

05 - 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
06 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
07 - 4 tablespoons melted unsalted butter

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Give the sticks about a minute to rest before digging in. Serve them with your favorite dips or taco toppings.
02 - Set breadsticks spaced apart on your greased pan and pop them in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes. You want the outsides golden and the cheese bubbling inside.
03 - Mix the melted butter, parsley, and garlic powder in a tiny bowl. Brush the buttery mix all over the rolled-up sticks.
04 - Spoon a tablespoon of cooled taco meat right into each piece of dough. Lay a cheese piece on top and tightly roll them up, making sure the sides and ends are sealed up.
05 - Take your pizza dough and roll it flat on a little flour. Make a big rectangle, slice it once lengthwise, then cut each strip into five pieces. You’ll get ten rectangles total.
06 - Cook up the ground beef over medium-high heat, crumbling it so it cooks through. Pour off the fat. Add your taco seasoning, mix well, then pull the pan off the heat and let the meat cool down all the way.
07 - Fire up the oven to 220°C (425°F). Spray a big baking tray with nonstick spray.

# Additional Tips:

01 - Let the taco filling chill completely before putting together so your cheese doesn't melt too soon.
02 - Seal the edges well so all the gooey cheese and beef stays inside during baking.
03 - Putting these on parchment paper gets you extra crispy bottoms.
04 - Want less grease? Just go with leaner beef.
