05 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
06 - 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
07 - 1 teaspoon dried oregano
08 - 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

09 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
10 - 1 medium onion, diced (about 150 grams)
11 - 1 pound ground beef

→ Fats and Oils

12 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened (about 56 grams)
13 - 1 tablespoon olive oil

→ Bread and Garnish

14 - 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
15 - 4 sandwich rolls
16 - 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Get the oven warmed up to 375°F (190°C). Cut sandwich rolls so they just open but don’t split completely. Lay them cut side up on a baking tray. Spread a tablespoon of soft butter on each cut side.
02 - Pop the tray into the oven and bake the rolls for 5 to 7 minutes until they turn golden and crispy. Take them out and put aside.
03 - Lower the heat and let everything cook gently for 5 to 7 minutes so the flavors come together nicely.
04 - Mix in the marinara and tomato paste. Then sprinkle oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, black pepper, and salt. Stir it all up and turn the heat down.
05 - Toss in the fresh parsley and Parmesan cheese. Give it a good stir. Check the taste and add more seasonings if you think it needs it.
06 - Throw diced onion into the pan and cook it for 3 to 4 minutes until it gets soft and see-through. Then add the garlic and cook another minute till you can smell it.
07 - Heat a big pan over medium-high. Add the ground beef and break it apart with a spoon as it browns, about 7 to 10 minutes. Drain off any extra fat then put the beef back in the pan.
08 - Spoon the beef mix over the bottom halves of the toasted rolls evenly. Sprinkle garlic powder on top, then close the sandwiches with the top halves and press lightly.
09 - Dig in right away and enjoy the tasty, hearty flavors of these Italian Garlic Bread Sloppy Joes.

# Additional Tips:

01 - Letting the filling simmer helps the flavors blend deeper for the best taste.
