Potato Soup Comfort (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

01 - 6 bacon slices, cooked then crumbled up
02 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
03 - 2 green onions, chopped
04 - 2 tablespoons butter
05 - 1 cup heavy cream
06 - 6 medium potatoes, peeled then cut up
07 - 1 small onion, chopped
08 - 2 garlic cloves, smashed
09 - 4 cups chicken broth
10 - Salt and pepper, as much as you want

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Spoon the soup into bowls. Sprinkle on the bacon, cheese, and green onions to finish.
02 - Pour in the cream, onion mix, salt, and pepper. Give it a good stir and let it bubble gently for another 10 minutes, stirring when you remember.
03 - Take a masher or a stick blender and break up those potatoes a bit—leave some hunks for a nice bite.
04 - Heat up a pan with butter, then toss in the onion and garlic. Let them cook till they go soft and your kitchen smells awesome. This takes about 5 minutes.
05 - Chuck your chopped potatoes and broth into a big pot. Crank up the heat till it starts boiling, then let it chill out and simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or till the potatoes are soft.
