Maple Sausage Bites (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Filling

01 - 1 pound (453 g) breakfast sausage links

→ Batter

02 - 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar
03 - 2 cups Hungry Jack pancake mix
04 - 1/4 cup maple syrup, with extra for dipping
05 - 1 1/2 cups water

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Pop them out of the tin and enjoy right away with some maple syrup on the side for dunking.
02 - Evenly scoop your mixture into the muffin cups. Bake for around 12 to 15 minutes. Stick a toothpick in the middle and if it comes out clean, you’re good to go.
03 - Mix in the cooked sausage and cheddar until the batter looks mixed up and everything is spread out.
04 - Stir pancake mix, maple syrup, and water together in a big bowl. Don’t stir too long, just until it all comes together.
05 - Brown sausage in a large skillet on medium-high, crumbling until there’s no pink left. Take it out with a slotted spoon and let it chill on paper towels to drain off the grease.
06 - Set oven to 400°F (204°C). Grease your mini muffin pan well with nonstick spray or butter. Put it aside for now.

# Additional Tips:

01 - Just mix the batter until things come together. If you stir too much, the bites get chewy.
02 - Keep leftovers in the fridge or toss in the freezer. Heat up when you want more.
