Switch your oven to 160°C for fans, or aim for 170°C if you're using standard heat.

Mix peach slices with raspberries and sugar in a bowl, then dump everything into an ovenproof dish and leave it be for now.

In a big bowl, toss in flour, baking powder, and sugar. Drop in the butter, then rub it all together till it turns chunky with some buttery bits left. Add zest and stir. Pour in the milk and stir just until it's soft, adding a splash more if it's not coming together.

Spoon the dough all over your fruit, then throw almonds on top. For a sweet crunch, shake on some Demerara sugar if you want.
