Honey Garlic Sausage Sweet Potatoes (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Main Components

01 - 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed into 2 cm pieces
02 - 1 pound chicken or Italian sausage

→ Sauce and Seasonings

03 - Salt as you like
04 - 1/4 cup honey
05 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
06 - 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
07 - Black pepper, add to taste
08 - 1 teaspoon paprika
09 - 3 cloves garlic, chopped up small

→ Garnish

10 - Chopped fresh parsley

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Sprinkle on some chopped parsley and split everything onto plates. Dig in while it's hot!
02 - Dump the sauce onto your sausage and sweet potatoes, pop on a lid, and let it bubble away until your sweet potatoes are soft—about 10 minutes.
03 - Grab a bowl and stir honey, chopped garlic, soy sauce or tamari, paprika, a bit of salt, and pepper together.
04 - Toss in the sweet potato cubes with the browned sausage and let them cook for five minutes. Give everything a stir now and then.
05 - Drizzle olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Drop in the sausage and cook, turning until all sides look browned—should be 5 to 7 minutes.
06 - Peel those sweet potatoes and chop them into chunks about 2 cm wide so they cook even.

# Additional Tips:

01 - Using tamari instead of soy sauce keeps things gluten-free.
02 - Toss leftovers into the fridge in a tight container for a few days or freeze for a couple of months.
03 - Want to switch it up? Try turkey sausage or swap the sweet potatoes for butternut squash.
