Strawberry Oat Sticks (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 3/4 cup rolled oats
02 - 1/2 cup unsweetened plain Greek yogurt (make sure it doesn’t have xylitol)
03 - 1 cup strawberries, hulled and cut up

→ Optional Ingredients

04 - Splash of water or coconut water if things are too thick
05 - 1 teaspoon honey
06 - 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Toss those frozen treats into a container or bag so you’ve got them handy for later.
02 - If your dough feels too sticky to work with, stash it in the fridge for about 20 minutes. Makes shaping easier.
03 - Roll or press mixture into thick sticks. You can use a mold too if you want perfect shapes.
04 - Sprinkle in the rolled oats along with ground flaxseed if you're using it. Do a couple of pulses so it all just comes together but stays chunky.
05 - Spoon in the plain Greek yogurt along with honey if you’re using it. Blend again so it all gets creamy and smooth.
06 - Spread out your shaped sticks on a tray lined with parchment, then freeze for at least three hours. They’ll get nice and solid.
07 - Pop the chopped strawberries in your blender or processor and blitz until it’s nice and pureed. If it’s too thick, splash in some water or coconut water.

# Additional Tips:

01 - No fresh strawberries? You can use frozen—just thaw them a bit to make things easier to blend.
02 - Want to switch it up? Blueberries, pumpkin, or banana work great in place of strawberries.
03 - Dogs who can’t do dairy? Unsweetened coconut yogurt is a good swap for the Greek yogurt.
04 - If your pup is older, let a frozen treat sit out on the counter for a few before giving it to them.
05 - Got extra? Freeze a bigger batch and they’ll last about a month.
