While the wings are still hot, drop them into a big bowl and pour peri peri sauce over. Coat them well and pass them around right away.

Lay your wings out on the air fryer tray so they’re not stacked. Set the heat to 390°F (199°C). Fry for 35 to 40 minutes, flip them every 10 minutes so they cook up even and get crispy all over.

Start by giving the chicken pieces a good pat dry. Sprinkle on the black pepper and a little salt. Toss them around in cornstarch until they’re covered, but shake off any extra powder.

Grab a bowl. Dump in melted butter, hot sauce, lemon juice, vinegar, peri peri pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and salt. Give it all a good whisk and leave it aside for a sec.
