Easy Banana Split Cake (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Cake Foundation

01 - 4 medium soft bananas, cut into slices
02 - 1 can (20 oz) pineapple chunks, excess juice removed
03 - 1 cup sliced ripe strawberries
04 - 1 box white or yellow cake mix
05 - 1 stick (½ cup) melted unsalted butter

→ Finishing Touches

06 - 1 cup whipped cream or 1 tub ready-made topping
07 - 1-2 sliced bananas for decoration
08 - ½ cup strawberry halves or slices
09 - ½ cup broken walnuts or pecans
10 - Optional drizzle of chocolate or chocolate sauce

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Heat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Coat a 9×13-inch dish with butter or cooking spray. Layer banana slices on the bottom. Put the drained pineapple on top, then add your strawberry slices as the final fruit layer.
02 - Shake the dry cake mix all over the fruit without mixing it in. Pour melted butter across the top, trying to wet as much of the dry mix as you can.
03 - Pop it in the hot oven for 40-45 minutes until you see a golden brown, bubbly top. Let it sit for about 15 minutes so everything can firm up a bit.
04 - As it cools down, beat your cream until it's fluffy, or open your ready-made topping. Spoon cream over the cooled cake. Add extra banana slices, fresh strawberries, and crunchy nuts on top. You can drizzle some chocolate over everything if you want.
