Fill glasses with ice and pour your drink over. Want to make it look extra nice? Drop in some basil leaves, fresh blueberries, or lemon slices.

Put the lemon juice, cold sparkling water, and blueberry basil syrup all together in a pitcher. Stir well so it all blends.

Send everything through a strainer into a pitcher or bowl. Press out as much color and flavor as you can. Toss away the leftover stuff.

Pull the saucepan off the heat. Add the basil, stir, cover with a lid, and just let it rest twenty minutes so those flavors mix.

In a medium pot on medium-high, warm up the water, sugar, and blueberries. Wait for it to bubble, then keep it low for five minutes so the sugar melts and berries get soft. Smash the berries to squeeze out all their goodness.
