Set oven to 325°F (165°C) and put parchment on your cookie sheets.

Grab a bowl and stir flour, baking soda, and salt together.

In a different bowl, stir melted butter with both sugars until it's nice and creamy.

Mix in the vanilla, whole egg, and extra yolk until everything looks combined.

Slowly add the flour mixture to your wet ingredients. Gently fold chocolate chips in at the end.

In another bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar and vanilla until it's smooth and creamy.

Roll dough into balls, make a dent in each one, drop in some filling, then cover with extra dough.

Put cookies on your lined sheet and bake about 15-18 minutes until the edges turn golden.

Keep cookies on the hot sheet for 5 minutes, then move them to a cooling rack.
