Fire up your oven to 190°C and let it heat up first.

Grab a pan and fry bacon over medium heat until it's crunchy. Pop on paper towels, then chop up.

Melt butter in a saucepan over medium. Stir in the flour until you don't see any lumps. Slowly add the milk, giving it a good whisk, so it thickens up. Pour in ranch, sprinkle salt and pepper, take it off the burner.

Grab a large bowl. Toss in the shredded chicken, crisp bacon, and half your cheese. Pour the ranch sauce in and stir until it's all mixed up.

Spray or butter a 23x33-cm dish. Cover the bottom with tater tots. Scoop the chicken blend over the tots and spread it out. Sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top.

Slide the dish in the oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes until it's bubbly and the cheese gets nice and golden.

Let it sit for a few minutes so it's easier to serve up.
