Chicken Bacon Crunch (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 900 grams frozen tater tots
02 - 4 cooked chicken breasts, shredded
03 - 6 slices of bacon, cooked crispy and chopped

→ Sauce Components

04 - 45 grams butter
05 - 2 tablespoons plain flour
06 - 240 millilitres milk, whole
07 - 120 millilitres ranch sauce
08 - Ground black pepper, add as much as you like
09 - Salt to taste

→ Cheese

10 - 150 grams grated mild cheddar

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Fire up your oven to 190°C and let it heat up first.
02 - Grab a pan and fry bacon over medium heat until it's crunchy. Pop on paper towels, then chop up.
03 - Melt butter in a saucepan over medium. Stir in the flour until you don't see any lumps. Slowly add the milk, giving it a good whisk, so it thickens up. Pour in ranch, sprinkle salt and pepper, take it off the burner.
04 - Grab a large bowl. Toss in the shredded chicken, crisp bacon, and half your cheese. Pour the ranch sauce in and stir until it's all mixed up.
05 - Spray or butter a 23x33-cm dish. Cover the bottom with tater tots. Scoop the chicken blend over the tots and spread it out. Sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top.
06 - Slide the dish in the oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes until it's bubbly and the cheese gets nice and golden.
07 - Let it sit for a few minutes so it's easier to serve up.

# Additional Tips:

01 - If you want bacon that's got a bit of crunch, cook it more before you mix it with the chicken. You can leave the tater tots frozen; don't need to thaw.
