Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Butter and flour a 9×13 inch baking dish.

Grab a big bowl and mix the flour, baking powder, and salt together well.

In a separate bowl, beat the room temperature butter and white sugar until it's fluffy and pale.

Drop in the eggs one by one, then stir in the vanilla flavor until everything's mixed well.

Slowly add your dry mix to the butter blend, switching back and forth with milk. Mix just until smooth.

Take a medium bowl and toss cornflakes with brown sugar and cinnamon until they're coated nicely.

Put all your cake mix into the buttered pan and smooth the top flat.

Scatter the cornflake mix evenly on top of the batter and press down lightly so it sticks.

Put it in the oven for about 25-30 minutes. You'll know it's done when you poke it with a toothpick and nothing sticks.

Take the cake out and let it sit in the pan for 15 minutes. Then move it to a cooling rack until it's completely cool.
