Crunchy Cornflake Cake (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

01 - 1 ½ cups plain flour
02 - 1 cup white sugar
03 - ½ cup unsalted butter, room temperature
04 - 1 cup milk
05 - 3 big eggs
06 - 1 tablespoon baking powder
07 - ½ teaspoon salt
08 - 1 teaspoon vanilla flavor
09 - 4 cups cornflakes
10 - ½ cup brown sugar
11 - ½ teaspoon cinnamon (if you want)

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Butter and flour a 9×13 inch baking dish.
02 - Grab a big bowl and mix the flour, baking powder, and salt together well.
03 - In a separate bowl, beat the room temperature butter and white sugar until it's fluffy and pale.
04 - Drop in the eggs one by one, then stir in the vanilla flavor until everything's mixed well.
05 - Slowly add your dry mix to the butter blend, switching back and forth with milk. Mix just until smooth.
06 - Take a medium bowl and toss cornflakes with brown sugar and cinnamon until they're coated nicely.
07 - Put all your cake mix into the buttered pan and smooth the top flat.
08 - Scatter the cornflake mix evenly on top of the batter and press down lightly so it sticks.
09 - Put it in the oven for about 25-30 minutes. You'll know it's done when you poke it with a toothpick and nothing sticks.
10 - Take the cake out and let it sit in the pan for 15 minutes. Then move it to a cooling rack until it's completely cool.
