Slice every piece of Texas toast into four finger-sized strips. Put them aside.

Grab a big bowl and beat the eggs, whipping cream, cinnamon, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.

Take each bread strip and dunk it in the egg mix, making sure all sides get wet. Give it a little shake to get rid of drips, then line them up on a plate.

Warm up a big pan on medium and toss in 2 to 3 tablespoons butter. After it melts, lay your soaked strips down without crowding them. Cook till one side turns gold, flip them over, and keep cooking till all sides look crispy.

Bring them straight to the table with syrup on the side for dunking.
