Simple Cinnamon Toast Fingers (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 8 pieces chunky Texas toast
02 - 4 big eggs
03 - 1 cup whipping cream
04 - 2 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
05 - 1 tablespoon white sugar
06 - 1 tablespoon pure vanilla
07 - Plain butter, for frying
08 - Pancake syrup, for dipping

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Slice every piece of Texas toast into four finger-sized strips. Put them aside.
02 - Grab a big bowl and beat the eggs, whipping cream, cinnamon, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
03 - Take each bread strip and dunk it in the egg mix, making sure all sides get wet. Give it a little shake to get rid of drips, then line them up on a plate.
04 - Warm up a big pan on medium and toss in 2 to 3 tablespoons butter. After it melts, lay your soaked strips down without crowding them. Cook till one side turns gold, flip them over, and keep cooking till all sides look crispy.
05 - Bring them straight to the table with syrup on the side for dunking.

# Additional Tips:

01 - Stale bread from yesterday soaks up the egg mix way better.
02 - Bread with tough outer edges won't fall apart during cooking.
03 - Want to save some? Let them cool down completely, freeze them flat first, then pack them in a container. Just pop them in a toaster oven or air fryer later for that crispy comeback.
