Spiced Beef Potato Mix (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 3 tablespoons cooking oil
02 - 1 diced yellow onion
03 - 1 pound ground beef (lean)
04 - 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
05 - 1 finely chopped jalapeno
06 - 1 tablespoon coriander powder
07 - 2 teaspoons garam masala spice
08 - 2 teaspoons ground cumin
09 - 1 teaspoon sea salt
10 - 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
11 - 1 teaspoon ginger powder
12 - 1/2 teaspoon hot cayenne
13 - 28 ounces chopped tomatoes with juice
14 - 3 peeled russet potatoes, cut into small 1/2-inch chunks
15 - 1 cup green peas (frozen)

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Pour cooking oil into a big pot over medium heat. Toss in the diced onion and cook for about 6-8 minutes until they turn clear, giving them a stir now and then.
02 - Toss in your coriander powder, garam masala, cumin, sea salt, turmeric, ginger powder, and cayenne. Give it all a good stir and let it cook for a minute so the flavors wake up.
03 - Throw in your lean ground beef. Break it up with your spoon and cook it for around 6-8 minutes until it's no longer pink, stirring occasionally.
04 - Add your chopped garlic and jalapeno. Stir everything well and let it cook for another minute.
05 - Dump in the tomatoes with their juice and the potato chunks. Mix everything together really well.
06 - Bring the whole thing to a gentle bubble and let it cook for 10-12 minutes or until you can easily poke a fork through the potatoes.
07 - Drop in the frozen peas, let them warm up, and serve your dish right away while it's hot.
