Lemon Cheese Cake (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

01 - 1 pack (8 oz) cream cheese, at room temperature
02 - 1 cup white sugar
03 - 2 eggs, large size
04 - 1/3 cup juice from lemons
05 - 1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
06 - 1 box (15.25 oz) cake mix with lemon flavor
07 - 1 cup water
08 - 1/3 cup oil (vegetable)
09 - Optional topping: whipped cream or icing
10 - Optional garnish: seasonal fresh fruit

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Get your oven hot at 350°F (175°C). Coat a 9×13 inch pan with grease.
02 - Use a bowl to mix room temperature cream cheese with white sugar until you get a smooth mix.
03 - Add eggs one by one, making sure each is fully mixed in before adding the next.
04 - Mix in the fresh lemon juice and grated peel until everything's well combined.
05 - In a separate bowl, stir together the lemon cake mix with water and oil until smooth with no lumps.
06 - Add the cake mix on top of your cheese mixture in the pan. Don't stir them together – they'll form nice layers on their own.
07 - Stick it in the oven for about 40-45 minutes. It's done when the top looks golden and a toothpick comes out clean from the middle.
08 - Let your cake sit for 10-15 minutes before you cut into it.
