Pasta Penne & Peas (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Primary Components

01 - 1 tablespoon virgin olive oil
02 - ½ yellow onion, chopped into tiny bits
03 - 1 cup frozen green peas
04 - 6 slices fat bacon, diced small
05 - ¾ pound penne noodles
06 - ¼ cup thick cream

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Get salty water bubbling in a big pot and toss in your penne. When it's halfway done cooking, dump the frozen peas in too. Follow what the box says but knock off 1 minute so your pasta stays a bit firm.
02 - Warm up the olive oil in a wide pan over medium-high heat. Throw in those tiny onion pieces and bacon bits, and cook until they're crispy but don't let them burn.
03 - Strain out the water from your pasta and peas, then dump them into the pan with your bacon and onions. Turn the heat down to medium, pour in the thick cream, and mix it all up. Add extra cream if it looks dry and serve it right away.

# Additional Tips:

01 - This meal needs to be eaten right away while it's hot. The pasta gets mushier the longer you wait. Let everyone add cheese to their own plate if they want. As Italians often say, 'You don't make pasta wait. You wait for pasta.'
