Pepperoni Mozzarella Burger (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

01 - 16-24 slices pepperoni
02 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
03 - 1/2 cup pizza sauce
04 - 4 hamburger buns, split and toasted
05 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
06 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
07 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
08 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
09 - 1 pound ground beef (80% lean / 20% fat)

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Fire up your grill, broiler, or grill pan to medium-high. Pop the buns, cut side up, onto a baking tray. Toast them under the broiler until they're just golden. Move the tops off and leave them for later.
02 - Toss the ground beef, Italian seasoning, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper into a big bowl. Mix it up with your hands till it's all blended. Split it into four balls and flatten them into patties. Chill them for a bit.
03 - Put the patties on the hot grill for about 4 or 5 minutes per side. Flip when the first side looks nicely browned. When they're fully cooked, take them off.
04 - While those burgers finish up, heat the pizza sauce on low in a tiny pot. Spoon half onto the bottom bun halves, cover with half the cheese, and layer on some pepperoni. Broil till the cheese melts, about two to three minutes.
05 - Set your cooked burgers on the cheesy buns. Pour the rest of the pizza sauce on each. Sprinkle over the rest of the mozzarella and drop on more pepperoni. Broil until you see melted cheese and the pepperoni's getting a little crispy.
06 - Press the remaining bun tops on and enjoy while they're hot.

# Additional Tips:

01 - Getting the buns nice and toasty makes the texture awesome and brings out extra flavor.
