Put your quesadilla wedges on a plate after slicing. Throw shredded lettuce and some tomatoes on top. Scoop out more ranch for dipping if you want, and eat right away.

When the quesadilla's done, take it out of the pan and set it on a cutting board. Let it chill for a minute and then cut it up into wedges.

Flip your quesadilla with care. Give it another couple minutes so the other side browns up and everything inside goes gooey.

Let the tortilla cook for two or three minutes. Check for a golden brown bottom and melted cheese peeking out.

Stick the tortilla in the pan flat and smooth. Sprinkle on your cheddar cheese, drop in bacon bits, and pour over some ranch dressing.

Toss butter into a nonstick pan on medium. Wait till it gets all bubbly, then you're good.
