Pizza Grilled Cheese (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Garlic Butter

01 - 1/4 cup unsalted butter, brought to room temp
02 - 4 tablespoons parmesan, shredded
03 - 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
04 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
05 - 1/4 teaspoon salt

→ Sandwich Assembly

06 - 8 thick slices crusty bread like Italian or sourdough
07 - 1 1/2 cups mozzarella, shredded
08 - 1/2 cup marinara or pizza sauce
09 - 24 thin slices of pepperoni

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Throw soft butter, parmesan, Italian herbs, garlic powder, and salt into a small bowl. Mix it up until it's all blended and smooth.
02 - Lay out 4 bread slices and slather them with marinara or pizza sauce. Add 6 pepperoni slices and a pile of mozzarella on top. Top with the rest of the bread.
03 - Spread your garlic butter all over the outside of the sandwiches. Get it all the way to the edges.
04 - Warm up a skillet on medium. Pop in your sandwiches and cook both sides for around 3–4 minutes until they're toasty and cheesey inside.
05 - Cut sandwiches in half and eat right away. Dunk in hot marinara if you want.

# Additional Tips:

01 - Pick bread that's firm so it stays crisp and doesn't get mushy.
02 - Swap in dairy-free cheese if you want to skip the dairy.
03 - Mushrooms, olives, or peppers are awesome extras for more flavor.
04 - Love spice? Toss in some jalapeños or red pepper flakes.
