Grab a medium bowl. Toss the beef with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder till it's mixed well.

Split the beef mix into four parts. Make each one a patty about half an inch thick. Press a little dip in the center to help cook it evenly. You can spread BBQ sauce on top if you want.

Turn your air fryer on to 370°F and wait till it’s fully warmed up.

Lay the patties flat in the fryer basket. Let them cook for 6 minutes.

Flip each patty and cook 3 to 5 minutes more. Make sure they hit 160°F inside for safety.

If adding cheese, put a slice on each patty and air fry for one more minute so it melts nicely.

Take the patties out and place them on the buns. Add whatever toppings and sauces you like before serving.
