Blue Cheese Pears (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Pears

01 - 4 soft pears, core taken out and sliced in half

→ Cheese Filling

02 - 1 tablespoon honey, keep more for later on top
03 - 1 ounce walnuts, toasted and chopped small
04 - 4.25 ounces blue cheese, broken into chunks

→ Seasoning and Garnish

05 - Fresh thyme sprigs for a pretty finish
06 - 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
07 - 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Take the pears out of the oven, drizzle them with more honey, and add some thyme on top. Tastes best if you serve them warm.
02 - Pop the pears in the oven and give them a dash of black pepper plus a splash of balsamic vinegar. Let them bake for 20 to 25 minutes till the cheese is melty and the pears are nice and soft.
03 - Pack the cheesy nut mix right into the hollow of each pear half and give it a little pat to set.
04 - Mix together the blue cheese crumbles, your toasted walnuts, and that spoonful of honey until it’s all blended well.
05 - Cut each pear in half, scoop out the center using a spoon or melon baller, and put them cut side up on your baking tray.
06 - Switch the oven on to 375°F (190°C). Set up a baking tray with some parchment paper or grease it to stop any sticking.

# Additional Tips:

01 - Pick pears that are just soft but don’t feel mushy for the best bite. Swapping in goat cheese can bring out more flavor. You can enjoy these either hot out of the oven or straight from the fridge.
