Pineapple Brown Sugar Chicken (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Wings

01 - 2 pounds of chicken wings

→ Sauce

02 - 1 tablespoon minced garlic
03 - 1/4 cup soy sauce
04 - 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
05 - 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
06 - 2 tablespoons honey
07 - 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
08 - 1/2 cup pineapple juice

→ Thickener (optional)

09 - 1 tablespoon water
10 - 1 tablespoon cornstarch

→ Garnish

11 - 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
12 - 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Take the wings out of the oven and move them to a plate. Toss on the sesame seeds and some chopped green onions before digging in.
02 - Coat those baked wings with your sauce, brush it all over. Slide them back in the oven for about 10 minutes so they get nice and sticky.
03 - Set the wings on the baking sheet, spread out flat. Cook for half an hour, turn them at the halfway mark.
04 - Want your sauce thicker? Mix cornstarch and water together till smooth, then pour that into the sauce on the stove. Whisk it while it cooks for another couple of minutes until it thickens up.
05 - In a small pan over medium heat, put in brown sugar, pineapple juice, soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, and red pepper. Let it bubble for about 5 minutes, give it a stir every now and then.
06 - First things first—crank your oven to 400°F (200°C) and cover a big baking sheet with parchment paper.

# Additional Tips:

01 - If you want your wings extra crispy, make sure you dry them off before they go in the oven.
