Gooey Chocolate Marshmallow Squares (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

01 - 18 ounce brownie mix package with required box ingredients
02 - 2 cups tiny marshmallows

→ Chocolate frosting

03 - 1/4 cup softened salted butter
04 - 1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
05 - 2 Tablespoons pure cocoa powder
06 - 2 Tablespoons fresh milk
07 - 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Heat your oven to 350ºF. Want thicker treats? Coat a 9x9" dish with cooking spray or put down parchment. For skinnier brownies, grab a 9x13" pan instead.
02 - Follow the box directions to make your brownie mix. Put the mixture in your ready pan and cook about 30 minutes until they're nearly done. Don't let them get too dry.
03 - Take your pan out and scatter those 2 cups of tiny marshmallows all over the top. Pop back in for just 3 more minutes until the marshmallows get puffy. Take out and let them cool down.
04 - Throw 1/4 cup soft salted butter, 1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar, 2 Tablespoons cocoa, 2 Tablespoons milk, and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla in a big bowl. Mix with electric beaters till it's nice and smooth. Add extra milk or sugar if needed to make it just right.
05 - Drop spoonfuls of your chocolate mix over the cooled marshmallow layer. Spread it out carefully across everything. Cut into 5x4 sections using a plastic knife for clean cuts.

# Additional Tips:

01 - Grab new marshmallows for better taste.
02 - Want extra richness? Toss in 1/2 cup chocolate bits to your brownie mix before baking.
03 - If you're using the bigger 9x13" pan, make twice the frosting and toss in another cup of tiny marshmallows.
